Corner Meetings:
Corner Meetings are a way for all the students who have one particular job to meet in a designated corner of the classroom to have a 90 second meeting about their particular duties. Meetings are held about twice a month in the beginning of class as a warm up prior to the beginning of the mathematics of the day. Prompts vary from "Discuss what you will do first today" to "What is the hardest part f your job and why?". These particular job titles (Facilitator, Task Manager, Resource Manager, & Recorder/Reporter) are widely used in CPM math classes. If consistency is not an issue at your site, feel free to re-name and re-configure the tasks, many teachers adjust the jobs and titles to fit their own needs.
