HW is given
Monday -Thursday

You will usually have HW 4 days a week, and counts for 10% of your report card.  30 minutes is the maximum amount of HW time.  After that, have a parent write me a quick note and I'll sign it off for you.

Peer correction and review

Each day, show your work well, because another student will be looking it over and helping you decide how many points your work is worth.  You will be doing the same for your partner.

Responsible for correct work

Often you will have HW with an answer key.  It is your job to check your work so you know that you have practiced correctly.
We will check HW and give points very quickly each day in class.

Late Work?  Keep trying!

If you miss a HW you can do it and show it to Mrs. B. the next day and she'll sign it for you.  Partners do not check late work for each other.  Each Friday is the last catch up day of the week.

When to ask for help on old stuff

Before school, after school, at break and lunch are best.  Often I cannot stop a lesson to review an old skill but I still want to help!  We all have gaps in our knowledge, so if you find one, come and see me and we'll work no it :)

Helping a friend vs. copying

You can learn a lot if you team up on hw, but both people need to be involved in the learning! copying is NOT ok, neither to ask or to give.

Khan Academy

Click here to go to a good tutoring website. You will need to create an account, but it's easy and free.  Once in, you can search for math topics and watch short videos that show how to do the math.
