This system was developed with the support of CPM's Teacher Research Corps (TRC) in 2015 and has been revised several times by the teacher teams that have piloted them.
It is meant to be used as often as needed, daily at first, then tapering off to an as-needed basis.
It has the job description on the left (used 90% of class time) and the individual scoring rubric on the right (last 5 minutes).
It can be folded under so only one side shows if that helps the students to focus on the tasks at hand.
The color coding is for convenience, but is not necessary. The colors are fairly standardized, so only change them if there is a compelling reason to do so.
The check boxes are to be used as a bird watcher checks off birds sightings: they are not points and not all boxes can or should be checked each day
Points do not have to go in the grade book each time the sheet is used, but rather at student choice or teacher convenience.
